Developed by OptiBiotix and produced in Europe by Sacco, the LPLDL® probiotic is a natural strain of the Lactobacillus plantarum bacterium and can help in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Lactobacilli are commonly found in the human intestinal microbiota and have traditionally been used as probiotics. Lactobacillus plantarum LPLDL® was selected by OptiBiotix from among 4000 other possible probiotics using its OptiScreen® process, and showed an exceptional capacity in vitro to hydrolyse bile salts and lower cholesterol levels.

The LPLDL® probiotic maintains the original flavour of the item and is specifically used for certain functional products:
