We are proud to present the fifth edition of our Sustainability Report, an opportunity to reflect on the milestones achieved and the challenges ahead. In recent years, we have implemented significant projects, particularly in the field of circular economy, transforming our production cycle. Thanks to these initiatives, we have achieved a 70% reduction in waste production, redirecting over 12,000 tons of by-products annually into new production cycles, keeping materials in value chains as long as possible.
On the social front, we have focused on employee growth and stability: over 97% of our contracts are permanent, and nearly 95% of our staff have participated in training activities. This focus has allowed us to face challenging periods like the pandemic with resilience.
For Sacco System, sustainability is a strategic pillar driving research and innovation, aiming to address global challenges such as food waste reduction and the promotion of sustainable agri-food supply chains.
Starting in 2026, we will comply with the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), a crucial step in consolidating our approach. We are already working on integrated reporting, involving all group companies and updating materiality topics based on the double materiality principle to ensure a business model aligned with stakeholder expectations and environmental and social challenges.
Sacco System will continue to contribute to sustainable development, adapting to an ever-changing context and ensuring a resilient model through dialogue and engagement with all our partners.
