Bacillus coagulans BC4

Bacillus coagulans BC4
Species Bacillus coagulans. Deposit LMG-S 27484. Excipient Maltodextrin (quantity variable in order to have the final microbial concentration). ID method The strain Bacillus coagulans BC4 MDX has been subjected to a total DNA extraction and a 16S rDNA sequence analysis. The results obtained allowed the identification of the strain as Bacillus coagulans. Strain typing was performed by PFGE analysis of DNA. Characteristics Aerobic, gram positive thermostable spores of Bacillus coagulans producing Lactic Acid. Bacillus coagulans is identified by blue coloured rods, and red coloured spores as seen under microscope, when stained by basic fuchsin solution.
